The First Method of Coffee Brewing

Written by Madame Bonte Cafe | October 23, 2022

The first method of coffee brewing is called "the ibrik method".  Ibrik is also known as cezve which is used to make Turkish coffee. It is a small metal pot that has a long handle on one side.  It was first started to be used in the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century and today people still use that method to enjoy a cup of Turkish coffee. In order to make Turkish coffee, you need to mix very fine coffee grounds with water and sugar in a cezve and heat it slowly until it starts boiling.
